Barefoot Rehabilitation

“Barefoot Training” really is a buzz word around both amateur and elite sports clubs at the moment. When people hear about barefoot training they immediately think of barefoot running or running the latest pair of minimalist footwear.

Podiatry based Barefoot Training is much MUCH more than simply running without shoes. Barefoot Training is an evidence based approach to restoring foot function, muscle activation patterns and helps to prevent injury.

The changes experiences with Barefoot Training can also make significant improvements in overall foot structure and overall movement patterns of the legs resulting in improved sports performance.

Whilst the benefits of Barefoot Training are well known in the sports arena due to recent media coverage, the benefits are available to persons of all ages levels of fitness.
