Matthew joined 4 Life podiatry in 2021. Matthew is a qualified podiatrist with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from The University of Western Australia. In addition, he is also qualified as an Exercise Scientist, having attained a Bachelor of Science, Exercise and Health (Honours), also from The University of Western Australia.  As an Exercise Scientist Matthew primarily worked with cyclists doing coaching, conducting VO2max testing and biomechanical analyses such as bike fitting. Other sports he worked with include Australian Rules Football at the WAFL level and triathletes. Regarding Podiatry, he is particularly interested in the biomechanics of the feet and its’ impact on the rest of the body, especially from a sporting context.

  1. Previously WA Institute Of Sport scholarship holder for road and track cycling and a national. medallist in triathlon.
  2. Outside of work Matthew does coaching for Track Cycling WA at the Midvale Speed Dome.
  3. He enjoys riding motorcycles
  4. In his spare time what he considers to be fun is statistics (not a commonly shared sentiment!), data science, coding and working with electronic devices.
